Don't you think BlackBerry should be it's own category?

And let us not forget that an iPhone app also works on iPod Touch and iPad.

If I could view the current data and shut things off and on from my iphone it would be the controller to end all controllers. ITunes has a similar app, its just a simple webserver but my itunes is hooked up to my stereo and from anywhere in the house I can browse , control volume, skip etc.

Maybe we shouldn't include the Ipod touch/Ipad in the same line as the Iphone. Reasoning behind this is the Ipod Touch only has connectivity where there is wireless, as opposed to the iphone having constant connectivity. The Ipad goes either way (apple has both 3G and wifi-only models). In my case I have a Droid and an Ipod Touch, but would rather see a Droid app, because it has constant connectivity. Just my thoughts.

We don't need to count them at all, but I figured it was worth considering that resources spent on an iPhone app will actually cover a much larger potential user base than just iPhone users. You know it's like synergy and ROI and stuff. :)

I have an iPhone, but maybe the poll should be extended to include those of us considering Windows Phone 7 (http://www.engadget.com/2010/02/17/windows-phone-7-series-everything-you-ever-wanted-to-know/) that is due out at the end of the year.

Incorrect. BlackBerrys are #1 in market share. :)
