iReef reviews...

Postby Digital Aquatics on Tue May 26, 2009 9:26 am

Hey everyone,

I just wanted to put this out there for those of you using iReef. Trever has done a great job of offering a free iPhone app. As the NET module grows so will iReef. There are a number of low rated reviews that are very questionable (with no comments,) and some level of fraud is a real concern. I would like to see Trever get the credit and real feed back he deserves; so if you're using iReef, please take a minute to leave a real review and rate the app. Keep in mind that any short comings with the app are the current limitations of the NET module not the app. (That's just a matter of time... ;) )

Thanks,
Scott

Hehe. Thanks Scott. I appreciate the prodding. I don't mind if people leave lower ratings if they help me understand why they didn't like the app. If they are really fraudulent ratings then I guess there's not much I can do about that. I just want to know how to improve the app if people aren't happy with it.

Spot on! You can't go wrong with real data! Can't fix it if you don't know what needs fixing.

I will do that but also wanted to tell Trevor thanks as I use it several times a day to check on tank as I am usually on road during week. It is so much easier than going to an RSS page and scrolling through them. I love it and my top app besides another I use all time.

Just left a five star review. Great job, and I am looking forward to future versions.

Thanks for your effort on this Trevor! Just got my iPhone this weekend, found the iReef app yesterday... and totally got it setup tonight! I think it's great!

I was looking at iPhone apps a couple of weeks ago and found the iReef app. I thought that it was an awesome idea. Unfortunately, I had a ReefKeeper 2, not an Elite. Then, this weekend, great news! My ReefKeeper 2 burned out. I ordered a ReefKeeper Elite, and it should be arriving tomorrow. I also downloaded iReef to my phone in anticipation. I can't wait to begin monitoring my tank via my phone.

I guess this isn't really a review, per se. But the fact that I spent $750, in part to be able to use this app, must be high praise.

Hi Michaelangelo,

I don't know if the RKL returns the data differently than the RKE. I have had some other people saying it's not working for their RKL so I suspect it's different than the RKE. I don't have access to an RKL yet to make the app work for RKL.
