Lunar lights

Postby nascar48 » Tue Apr 28, 2015 9:42 pm

I have noticed over the last couple of nights that my lunar lights have not been coming on with the phases of the moon. I checked the lunar calendar and the date and time on the systems page and the MLC should be turning the lights on. Last night they were on, but the night before, they were not. Tonight they are off again. I can turn them on manually.
Any suggestions?

While it does seem like you are having an issue with the lights being inconsistent, I can say that the lunar calendar isn't necessarily reflect to what reality is. The lunar calendar within the RKE/RKL/Archon system is a 29.5 day cycle, but I have noticed over the years that it does not seem to be related to the actual date of the system. I have started systems fresh and it seems like the cycle starts when the system is originally powered up. It should be consistent though so I think Eric will need to look into this.

New problem/question. My lunar light are set to 100 maximum. On the archon it is showing 239. I have tried to reset this but it just goes to 239. What gives?

I am getting this issue. I think they are working on that. Hopefully it will be in the new release.
thanks,

Just wondering if there's been any updates on this. Here's the issue 'm having:
I'm running 8 lunar pods - 6 via the MLC and 2 via an ALC module. I programmed the lunar pods at max 80, ramp time 30 minutes. The 6 pods on the MLC were reporting an intensity of 1 and the 2 pods on the ALC 0 (current moon phase here in SoCal was 88% last night). If I manually turned them on, they would all go to 100.

I then tried something interesting and changed the current function from lunar to MLC. Set maximum to 80 and white ramp to 30. All 8 pods went to intensity 57. Although a much better improvement that under lunar settings they still seem too dim for an 88% moon. Also, despite all having a "white ramp" of 30, the pods on the MLC ramp differently than the ones on the MLC. I also don't know if there's an issue leaving them set as MLC intead of lunar, although it appears they work more properly under this function.
